Step 4: Configure the router policy

Router policies determine which identities are allowed to use which routers to connect to the network. Permission must be granted, as identities can't use any routers by default.

  1. From the console, click Policies.

  2. Select the Router Policies tab, then click + to create a new router policy.

  3. Create a router policy that allows your client identity (or identities with the #get-started-client attribute) to connect to the routers in the network.

    tip

    For this demonstration, it's simplest to use the built-in, reserved attribute #all for both identity attributes and router attributes. This "all to all" policy immediately grants connection permission, ensuring the data path works for testing.
